I’m Muhammad Hashir, and I built Playgametory when I was 20, working out of Pakistan with nothing but a laptop and a genuine frustration I kept running into online. I was helping friends who freelanced — designers, a video editor, a couple of writers — and every single one of them hit the same wall when a client asked for an invoice. They’d either panic, dig up an old Word document and hope the formatting still held up, or spend twenty minutes on a “free” invoice tool that turned out to want an email signup and a credit card before it let them download anything. That gap between “I need one invoice, right now” and “here’s a whole account system you didn’t ask for” is what got me started. I taught myself how invoicing actually works — payment terms, tax formats, what makes an invoice legally valid in different countries — and built the tool I wished existed.

What Playgametory Offers

Playgametory is built around one thing: a completely free invoice generator. You fill in your business details, your client’s information, your line items, and it builds you a clean, professional PDF invoice in a few minutes — no account, no signup, nothing saved to a server you don’t control. It supports multiple currencies and lets you label your tax field as VAT, GST, or Sales Tax depending on where you’re billing from, since I built this for freelancers everywhere, not just one country.

Alongside the tool, I write and maintain a blog covering the practical side of invoicing — how to write an invoice properly, how to set payment terms that actually get you paid faster, what a tax invoice needs to include depending on your country, and the honest tradeoffs of things like invoice factoring. This isn’t filler content. It’s what I wished someone had explained to me plainly the first time I had to figure this stuff out.

Why It’s Free

Playgametory runs on advertising, not subscriptions. Once ads are live on the site, that’s what keeps this tool free and keeps me able to maintain it. You’ll never hit a paywall here for basic invoicing.

How I Build and Maintain the Tool

I test every part of this generator myself — the currency conversions, the tax calculations, the PDF output — and I keep the blog content updated as tax rules and invoicing standards shift, particularly around VAT thresholds and payment term norms in different regions.

My Promise to Users

No signup, ever, for the core tool. I don’t sell or store your invoice data — everything happens in your browser. This tool stays free, period.
